Our view on choosing the right H&S training for your company employees

Why provide health and safety training, isn’t the question we should be asking ourselves today. It’s not about the ‘why’. It’s all about the ‘how‘!

Why it matters: 

All employees have the right to work in safety, and all employers’ duty is to make sure they do. Not only is it common sense. It’s the law. But questions arise when it comes to choosing H&S training that is appropriate for your business.

What’s the point of health and safety training? The answer is in the question: it’s your employees’ very health and safety – a work environment that reduces the likeliness of accidents and incidents and boosts the team’s performance. Think about workplaces where everyone knows how to avoid risks, take decisions that are safety-minded, and feel that laws and regulations are all fully met

What steps should you take before any training:

  • Identify the training needs of your organisation (What do we need?)
  • Identify the priorities (What do we need first?)
  • Decide on the training methods (How can we do it?)

What steps should you take after the training: evaluate carefully to make sure it’s worked!
